More about Internet Download Manager

File downloads are usually unordered, making them difficult to track and categorize when multiple transfers are performed. Using Internet Download Manager will not only make the process more visually organized and easier to manage, but it can also speed up downloads by making multiple connections to the same file and running them simultaneously. In addition, IDM also has many features designed to make downloading files much easier and more efficient.

IDM connects directly to your browser, allowing you to download files with a single click. This can make it much easier to run multiple transfers at once, reducing the time you spend on a web page trying to download all the files you want. IDM accomplishes this by detecting when you click on certain types of links in your browser, and then capturing those clicks and managing them yourself. Clicking on the file you want to download brings up IDM with a dialog box in which you can choose what to do with the file, including choosing where to download it and choosing what to do when the transfer is complete.

Speaking of downloading multiple files, you can use the IDM to detect any files on a single web page and automatically select them to download them all at once. Not only can you download everything you need at once, but the gas pedal will use your maximum bandwidth for the fastest possible file transfer.

If your connection is interrupted in the middle of a download, IDM will save the partially transferred file and resume when it detects that the connection has been restored. Built-in features correct any errors or inconsistencies detected when resuming the file, ensuring no corrupted data after the transfer is complete.

Finally, the IDM interface is extremely customizable. Everything from the visual elements to what happens after the file upload is complete can be customized, limited only by your imagination. For example, you can change the order of the buttons at the top of the main screen. You can also change the overall color and style of the program. Many custom skins are available on the IDM Web site.

Compared to regular downloads, Internet Download Manager provides a much easier, more efficient and faster way to download multiple files at once. Even if you are only downloading one file at a time, IDM will make multiple connections to download it much faster than the standard downloader built into your web browser. To make things better, IDM is compatible with almost all modern browsers, works in the background, and integrates easily into your experience.
