To do so, you must build houses, farms, orchards, collect crops, tame wild animals and establish pastures. The main task - to maintain life in the village so that the settlers did not need anything.

The game starts with you and your squad arriving by boat to the island, lost somewhere in the middle of the water. You have only the bare necessities with you: food, clothing, tools and a few building materials. You must make wise use of the available resources and learn how to mine new ones to settle on the island and provide a comfortable life for all settlers.

Gameplay is centered around construction and farming. There will be no battles here, but difficult weather conditions will not let you relax. Summer droughts, fires and bitter cold pose a serious threat to the settlers. Incorrect decisions can lead to the extinction of the whole village.

Therefore, the main character has a great responsibility: he must distribute duties among the people, correctly select the time of harvesting, to designate places for new buildings and make sure that there is always enough provisions, wood and tools.

As the game progresses, the seasons will change and farming tactics will need to be adjusted to suit the new weather conditions. Spring is a good time to sow crops, plant vegetables and fruits. Autumn is harvest time, while winter is a time for hunting, fishing, and livestock care. At the same time, there is more time for sewing clothes and baking food.

Despite the fact that in Life is Feudal: Forest Village goals as such do not exist - there is no task list and there are no battles, the game fascinating due to the need for proper planning of life. You need to keep an eye on the household and, if possible, make supplies to last. In order for the venture to succeed, the leader must have a basic understanding of how to run a household and allocate resources. It is important to consider the weather conditions: in case of cold weather, the village should have enough firewood and warm clothes, and on rainy days you will have to dig trenches so that the crops will not be flooded. Complicating matters are emergencies such as tornadoes or earthquakes. The player must also be prepared for this.

You can switch between two game modes - observe the whole settlement, give strategic orders by turning on the bird's-eye view, or select one of the settlers and play as him in first-person, performing daily tasks along with the other villagers.
