How to connect to another computer using AnyDesk
AnyDesk is a program for remote access to a computer that allows you to control it as if you were right next to it. It is based on the technology of transmitting the screen image from another device to the local computer, which allows you to view and control that device.
AnyDesk is compatible with Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS operating systems. It offers numerous security features such as password protection, automatic disconnection after a certain period of inactivity, and more. It will be useful in various situations, such as working on a project in the office.
Instructions for connecting to another computer via AnyDesk
When the presented program is installed on both computers (we've explained how to do it in our previous article) and you're ready to connect to another laptop, you need to follow these steps:
- Find out the ID of the remote computer. Ask its owner to provide you with this information. It is displayed on the main screen of the application.
- Open AnyDesk on your computer and enter the ID of the remote computer in the "Remote Desk" field. Click the "Connect" button.
- AnyDesk will ask you for confirmation to connect to the remote computer. Agree to proceed.
After that, you can control the other device, including using your computer's mouse and keyboard.
When finished working on the remote computer, click the "Disconnect" button (in red) to terminate the connection.
Important Notes
It is important to note that when connecting to a remote computer via AnyDesk, the owner's permission is required.
Additionally, despite the secure connection provided by the described application, it is still important to follow password rules.
